Manamyth Tag System

Hash	Name	Description	Examples	Notes
A	Actor	An entity: person, character, animal, creature, monster, etc.	Alice, Bob, Strange Cat, Kami, Vile Beast	A#0 is reserved for 'Self', so any given actor can access its own relations and descriptors. A#1 is reserved for the primary character in a story (the one that would be 'You' if the story were second-person)
L	Location	Any location, real, imagined, or conceptional, that Actors either visit or refer to	Classroom, Your Room, Shopping District North, Grassy Field, Heaven, Strange Dream	L#0 is reserved for 'No Location', and should only be used for narratives that don't involve an Actor, like a black screen at the beginning of a story.
D	Descriptor	Any way, trait, or personal tidbit that can be used to describe a character	Sex, Hair Color, Favorite Food, Phobia, Hobby, Occupation	D#0 is reserved for the ways an Actor refers to themselves (if appended after A#0): I, My, Myself, or others (if appended after any other Actor tag): You, Your Honor. It can actually get pretty messy, see D#0 for more details.

Variations

Some types of tags support variations if a pipe is used. For example, L#8 just refers to 'Classroom'. But for stories where multiple classrooms are needed, they can be designated with L#8|1, L#8|2, etc.

Descriptor tags also use these, both to store multiple descriptors of the same type (ie: multiple hobbies), but also with another (second) pipe that can change their form to allow them to be used in different parts of speech.

Example

When talking about their own hobbies, an actor can say so in multiple ways.

A#5: Oh, yeah, my hobbies include cooking, writing books, and video games.
A#5: On my days off I like to cook, write books, or play video games.
A#5: What can you find me doing on my days off? Either cooking, writing a book, or playing video games.
A#5: But to be honest, video games are great and all, but I'd rather be writing a book over slogging through a game.

These different forms can be referenced using the second pipe. Assume D#12 is 'Hobby'.

A#5: Oh, yeah, my hobbies include [A#0|D#12|1|1], [A#0|D#12|2|1], and [A#0|D#12|3|1]
A#5: On my days off I like to [A#0|D#12|1|2], [A#0|D#12|2|2], or [A#0|D#12|3|2].
A#5: What can you find me doing on my days off? Either [A#0|D#12|1|3], [A#0|D#12|2|3], or [A#0|D#12|3|3].
A#5: But to be honest, [A#0|D#12|3|4] great and all, but I'd rather be [A#0|D#12|2|5] over [A#0|D#12|3|6].

Take note in the last example that variation 4 includes the 'are'. Also note the flavor of describing 'playing a game'. Had the first hobby (cooking) been used for comparison instead of video games, the result would be:
